Kidding Season
Kidding season is here and if you are using heat lamps during cold weather be sure to check and make sure they are hung high enough so the lamp cannot be pulled down by the doe. Heat lamps are very dangerous and if not hung properly can cause devastating results if they fall and land on the bedding.
Supplies you need for kidding:
- Kid Puller
- Iodine
- Colostrum Substitute or Frozen Colostrum
- Should length gloves
- Syringes ( 3 or 10 cc)
- Needles (22 and 18 ga)
- Surgical Scissors
- Feeding tube with 60 cc syringe
- Electrolyte Solution
- Karo Syrup
- KY lube
- 20 -30 cc drench syringe
- Paper Towels
- Disposable disinfectant wipes
- Bottles and Nipples
- Thermometer
- Injectable Antibiotic
- Oxytocin
